I am really proud of my book Unlock Your Future. It just has such a good impact on my readers!
Even though this book as such is not about transitions, it really is perhaps the best tool you can get to successfully navigate through them. The sad thing is we resist getting into a state of transition in the first place. The book helps you overcome that, and having done this part, goes on to be your helpful guide through times of confusion, frustration and uncertainty.
The following are a few things of what you will learn:
The book is heavily recommended, just read what some of my the readers say about it:
Dear Jan Peter,
Let me get right to the point…I COULD NOT PUT YOUR “UNLOCK YOUR FUTURE” BOOK DOWN THE WHOLE WEEK-END !!!!
Jan the book is clear, practical and truly a step-by-step guide to making dreams a reality.
I am now your biggest fan.
Is it possible to meet this week? I would love for you to speak at the grade 8 graduation ceremony and present each graduate with your book. I would love to promote the book on the website and use it as a course for the middle school. I would love for you to also speak to the staff. I have so many ideas… I am so motivated by your words. Thank you.
With great respect and gratitude,
Wendy Soderman
PS. I was in danger of drifting off course in this difficult economic time…your book is guiding me back on “dream track”.

Unlock Your Future is really my favorite self-help book and reading it makes me come alive. I’ve read it many times and I use it as my everyday handbook. “Unlock Your Future“ is a must for people who want to make a change and for people who want to design their own lives. Jan Peter Aursnes is a great storyteller and his very engaging style makes it impossible to stop reading. If there is only one book you should read to find the course of your life, “Unlock Your Future” will be the book you read first. Personally I recommend “Unlock Your Future” to all my family, friends and business partners. I have found a new “Bible”, so to say. Thank You – your work is absolute amazing and it means a lot to me! With “Unlock Your Future” you can really unlock the door to anything you desire in life.

Bob Proctor, Author of “You Were Born Rich”
I am reading your book and making notes.
I am a studious person I can relate to every word you have written.
As I read I get ideas, and relate text to my own life and how it impacts it. I am going through a major shift in my own life, and your book is the right catalyst for me. I just wanted you to know that I appreciate your gift to me. I love the base of The Secret, it rings true to me. It is 1am on Friday, and I am glued to your book. I will want to read it again, that I can assure you. Most of the time I eat a book up in a day or two, however, I am doing a lot of self talk and introspective learning, questioning, planning and sifting through ideas. I do not want to rush the process that I am learning through.
Thank you for your gift,

“Anyone who has ever achieved anything has taken great risks.” (p. 66) And Jan Peter Aursnes is living proof of what happens, as if by pure serendipity, when one steps into the Unknown with faith, persistence and an unshakable dream: adventure, success and happily for us all, a brilliant book telling us how he did it – and that we can do it, too. Jan Peter’s book has a clarity and warmth that immediately engage the seeker. He tackles the hard questions with answers that genuinely encourage and inspire. He reminds us consistently that we each hold the power in every moment to create or re-design our destiny. I felt built up by his book, revitalized with heightened awareness each time I’ve turned to it in a moment of inquiry or indecision. “Challenges are opportunities to grow.” (p. 62) Jan Peter has masterfully conquered the challenge of writing a fresh, awareness-raising book about the synergistic dynamics of discovering and living one’s purpose fully, and becoming a more alive, awake person. The nobility and spark in Jan Peter’s writing jump out at once. You will have FUN journeying through this book, for it is your journey with Jan Peter holding the lantern, and you will return to it again and again!

I am very happy you have put so much wisdom of life on paper in such a wonderful way. I have enjoyed refreshing, easy to read, humorous language and fun metaphors. A huge strength of the book is that you have managed to keep the advice and wisdom as advice, information and guidance without becoming a “besserwisser”. Structured chapters that deal with every phase toward realizing dreams and goals in life makes this easy to read and easy to use. I love the passion and joy of the book! With its wise reflections this would have been a good book to have as a support through controversial decisions in my life and will definitely be an inspiration to continue to make future decisions based on desires, dreams and how I and my family want to live our lives. I will definitely bring the book with me as an inspiration in my life.

Reading Jan Peter Aursnes’ book, Unlock your Future, didn’t just inspire me to get better, but it made me put a next action to everything in my life and business that matters. Taking action was threaded in this book. I now have a crystal clear picture of what purpose, vision, and goals mean and the significance that each plays. I wanted to really get great results and this book led to my immediate determination to set aside a couple of days of visualization and planning time and I put a “next action” against everything I am doing. I feel this book took lots of little weights off my back and energized me to move forward in a very focused, calm, and creative way toward my goals. It brought order and excitement back to my world.Thank you Jan Peter. I really LOVE your book and it was great timing for me to read it when I did.

Excerpts
Intro:
Though I had accumulated many fond memories in both my personal and professional life and had acquired a great deal of life lessons along the way, my twenty-seven years in the corporate world had left me feeling, well, a bit empty. Over the years, I have increasingly found myself fascinated with a fundamental question: why are some people successful while others are not? Certainly how each person defines success is of critical importance, but the fact remains that while some people seem to get stuck in a rut, others seem to effortlessly glide right on by. I have since come to learn from my experiences and study that this apparent glide that I had been witnessing was in fact the result of determination and hard work. The truth is that successful people only make it look easy. Nevertheless, you too can achieve extraordinary results.
Chapter 1:
If you want to go your own way, you may have to just create your own space. This will not be without turbulence. Society will pick up on what you are doing and start giving you unsolicited feedback. Whether solicited or not, opinions will invariably come your way because opinions are a cheap commodity—and they are always on sale! Again, society has a role to play, but you do not want to just automatically accept the conventional wisdom. What may seem like the easy road at first due to societal norms, might in fact be a major mistake if the end result is that you are incredibly unhappy and feel as if you are not tapping into your unlimited potential. It is just a matter of finding your passion and channeling your efforts toward your specific goals.
Chapter 2:
The danger of being stuck in circumstance is that this will morph into a paradigm over time and our paradigms are what rule us. Paradigms are habits. This is the reason it is so hard to break out. We are better at challenging others than we are at challenging ourselves. To challenge yourself has more immediate and real consequences for you. Lack of self-challenge and remaining in your comfort zone are sort of circumstances in themselves. But you see, if you break out you are likely to challenge others in a way that is not welcomed. People who witness a breakout have a tendency to feel intimidated by your actions because they do not dare to challenge themselves in the same way. These people will then turn away and justify losing respect for you instead of facing the reality which is a loss of self-respect.
Chapter 4:
Your potential is unlimited. Your results in life are not a reflection of your potential, but rather a reflection of your awareness of your potential. As the old saying goes, whether you believe you can do something, or you believe you cannot do something, you’re right. This is where awareness comes into play. You must not only think you can do it, but you must believe you can do it. This is a change in mindset. This does not mean that you just say the words: “I believe I can do it.” What it means is that you actually believe them. Live them. If your awareness is low, so is the level of your results. If you expand your awareness, you will expand your results.
Chapter 5:
Each person has a unique purpose, specific to their own needs, but a purpose nonetheless. This will be different from my purpose and from everyone else’s. There may be similarities to others, but your purpose is unique and yours alone, tapping into your skills, abilities and interests in a fundamental way. Unfortunately, too many people fail to uncover that purpose and proceed through life blind to the possibilities that surround them. And again, I am not suggesting that you forsake all that is material in pursuit of your purpose. I am not implying in any way that you must give up all of life’s simple pleasures in order to claim that you have found your true calling. To the contrary, there is abundance in this life to be enjoyed. I am merely stating that finding your own individual passion is essential to living a life of fulfillment.
Chapter 6:
There is only one person that can define success: You. This is not a competition and there is no benchmark. Benchmarking is more often used as a way to level the playing field. It is not helpful to you. You want to set goals, but there is no reason for you to measure your success in comparison to what others are doing or achieving. Your success is defined and determined by you and you alone. When a company sets a benchmark, what they are inadvertently doing is imposing limitations by setting a restrictive realm on what is possible based on what has been done before. You need to set your sights on your purpose, vision and goals. The parameters as defined by others should not be of major concern to you.
Chapter 8:
Action leads to a life of fulfillment, while inaction leads to a life of mediocrity. If you decide not to act, rest assured, you will be welcomed back by the masses. But this is no hero’s welcome we are talking about. No, it is a welcome of enviable people that never dared to dream, or certainly never dared to pursue any dreams they did have. The welcome party is comprised of individuals that do not like having a mirror held up to them to reveal their own failures. By coming back to the masses, you help keep them in their comfort zone and help them to live with the fact that they go through life deciding not to act. There is safety in numbers and they most certainly use that adage to fool themselves into the false belief that they probably wouldn’t have made it anyway, even if they had tried.
